Why I’m Opening My Studio to Collectors
Because collecting art should be as personal as creating it.
Over the past years we have noticed how important personal contact has become in collecting art. Many collectors are not only looking for a transaction, but for a story, a conversation, and a sense of connection. That is why I have decided to open up a more personal way of collecting my work.
Through Studio Woudt, I welcome collectors by appointment to my own gallery space and studio in Alkmaar. Here, I can personally guide you through the work, share the stories behind each piece, and give a private tour of the place where everything is created. There is always a permanent exhibition on view, alongside the full catalog that can be explored through Studio Woudt.
For those outside the Netherlands, you are always welcome to reach out as well. I work closely with trusted galleries and partners around the world, from the United States and the United Kingdom to Portugal, Berlin, and the Emirates. Depending on where you are based, we can either assist you directly or connect you with the right partner in your region.
Alongside my limited editions, I am now offering unique works for the first time through this newsletter and my private Instagram community. These are true one-of-one pieces, not part of an edition, not artist proofs, but unique artworks.
The first artwork I am making available through this newsletter is Echo #51 (Echo from Beyond project), printed in A3 size using piezography on Awagami paper. It is not the first available piece from this series, several have already found collectors, but it marks the start of sharing these unique works directly with my audience.
Each piece is available as a print or framed edition. Because only one copy exists of each image, these works tend to sell quickly. To inquire about availability or pricing, please reply directly to this email or send a message on Instagram.
More unique works will follow soon.
