This Is Not a Book
An artwork you can change every day
When I started working on Rhythm: The Collection, I knew it had to be more than just a book. I wanted to create an experience, not just something you flip through. I wanted to create something that felt as considered, tactile, and lasting as the work inside.
The process took almost two years. Every decision, from image selection to paper choice to page mounting, was made with one goal in mind: to slow you down. I wanted each turn of the page to feel deliberate. The book contains 18 of my most significant works, printed on large-format sheets and blind-mounted on thick board. It is bound in linen, housed in a custom box, and comes with a 1605 Collective T-stand so you can display the pages as individual works in your space.
This is not just a book; it's an art piece for your home. While some people choose a single piece of art to hang on their wall, Rhythm the Collection stands in the room like a sculpture. It gives you the freedom to turn a page and reveal a different piece of art whenever you wish. It becomes part of your living space, constantly changing and interacting with you.
I see Rhythm as a portable exhibition, a way to experience photography as intimately and deliberately as I do when creating it. It's about touch, weight, and presence. It's about allowing an image to stay with you, not for seconds, but for days, weeks, or even years.
Only 30 copies exist worldwide, each individually numbered. As of this writing, 15 have already found their place in private collections. Once they are gone, there will be no reprint.
If you have been considering adding one to your collection, now is the time. The Rhythm Collection is available for €4,900 and can be picked up in Alkmaar or shipped worldwide in a custom crate.
