I love the idea of the Art Director of the city and I’d definitely would have loved to have one for Istanbul, my birth place. It is - was- a city full of identity defined by a beautiful blend of cultures and history, and we masterfully destroyed it with ugly looking buildings with no soul that serve commercial purposes and nothing else. It is heartbreaking.
I support your opinion. Doing so, I notice a need to change the todays institute in NL of the so called: Welstandscommissie. In many cities this will be received by the citizens as a necessity.
